We are the mothers and the children. We are the sun and moon. We are what can be and what always was. As the old world tears through itself, breathing its dying breaths, we are what will keep us safe. Our presence is opulent—our creativity, boundless. On this day, we will build refuge for all who exist in the in-between. Lines will blur, molds will be broken, and the boundaries between audience and performer will fade until we are left with what we can not yet imagine. We are the bridge across the setting sun, that takes us through the night, to arrive at a new tomorrow. We are already there. We are already moving.
