We are not just living in a time of collapse—we are living in new directions.

As the earth continues to shift, we are guided by teachings that have always been here. On these lands, time is not linear—it moves through the ocean’s tides, the salmon’s return, the wind in the cottonwoods. We are taught to witness these cycles and uphold our responsibilities within them.

We are not separate from the land—we are part of its memory and its dreaming. The land has an intelligence far greater than one human can comprehend. Moving forward it is time to listen to its guidance for a new path.

As Vines Art Society walks into its eleventh year, we don’t just celebrate a milestone—we call forth artists, community, and relatives to help carry the bundle of this work forward. This is not about surviving the storm. It’s about knowing how to be in relation, how to hold many at once, how to dream of futures that are free.

We invite artists to bring forward the songs, dances, stories, and forms that their ancestors carried through fire and flood. We ask: how do your teachings move through you? What stories need to be buried, and what ones have roots?

This year, we create a vision for a world that disrupts not through extraction but through interconnectedness, through nourishment, and reminds us who we are.

Come offer what you carry. Come receive what the land wants to give. All are welcome.
