Cathee Porter

Cathee is a person with 22 years of lived experience in prison.  She works on the Systems Change and Transformation Committee for the Canadian Elizabeth Fry Association, challenging societal impressions regarding he Canadian Justice System.  Cathee also is a assistant researcher for UBC and UVic studying the stories  re-entry from incarcerated people and their journey back into the community.  She is also researching what a community of artists can do when people are released as well as liberating art created by prisoners out of the institutions and showcasing their work in art shows.

Cathee is also a VERY passionate dog trainer and boards dogs at her house when their guardians are away.
